Father's Day

So, been doing lots of things with the kids.  Today was Father's day, so we checked the kids in to Kids' Camp and went to lunch.  Taylor made me a Father's Day cookie (Ritz cracker with frosting on top).  Then we read Calvin and Hobbes together for a while.  Taylor loved the idea of a Transmogrifier, so we made a sign for her closet that says "Taylor's Transmogrifier" and has some random clip-arts.  We spent half an hour transmogrifying ourselves into fishes, cats, and disney princesses.  I'm not sure the last one was part of Calvin's original design.

Somehow the kitten, who was called "Cookie" is now "Hobbes"... She's grey and white, and doesn't really have stripes, AND it's a she.... but somehow I'm still ok with it!

I bought a tablet PC and I'm hoping that Taylor ends up liking playing with it.  From what I hear, kids and tablets go great together.  If this doesn't work, it may be Nintendo DS time!

Recently, Taylor had a problem where her ears were clogged up, so she said it sounded like we were at the pool all the time.  It means that for the past week, she couldn't hear ANYTHING unless you yelled it to her.  I feel so much sympathy for parents of deaf children now.  I can't imagine how much patience that requires in the long term.  Thankfully, she can hear again, and it was just a temporary thing.

AJ has started a phase where he's learned ultimatums.  So a typical conversation goes like this "Aj, you need to eat your food or you're going to have to get a time-out".  "If you make me eat my food then I'm going to get out of my bed!"... UGH.... He's not supposed to understand IF-THEN's for years.  He LOVES remote controls and he loves anything he can get into (sunscreen, liquid soap, markers).  I joke that if we had had him first, we'd only have 1 kid.

No pics this time, so I'll leave you with one pic that I love.
